Tasty Goulash

For 4 people

Preheat oven to 170C/325F/Gas mark 3

Coat the meat with seasoned flour.

Heat the oil in a pan and fry the onions and peppers, add the meat and fry for about 5 minutes, turning to brown all sides.   Add the paprika and fry for a further minute.  Stir in the tomato puree, nutmeg, seasoning and remaining flour.

Transfer to a Casserole Dish

Add the stock, tomatoes and bouquet garni, mix well together.  Cover and cook for about 1.1/2 hours then add the beer and cook for a further 30 minutes.

Remove the bouquet garni, stir in the sour cream before serving.

Serve with Crusty Bread
